2 Bed/1.5 bath Victorian Home in Oakley Gets a Modern Makeover

As soon as this one-of-a-kind Victorian home hit the MLS, we knew we had to jump on it. Especially since it’s in the popular Oakley neighborhood, within walking distance to everything, AND right across from phase 3 of the Wasson Way trail. After we finished the project, we learned that the home had been vacant for over 20 years. The previous owner lived in the house until she inherited her parents’ home a couple of blocks over. She retained ownership and even paid the utilities for 20 years to ensure the home was taken care of.

Initially a 2 bedroom/1 bath home, we added a half bathroom on the first floor and turned the previous formal dining room into the kitchen. This opened up the entire space and created an open floor plan that seamlessly connects the living room and kitchen.

Because this property was built in 1910, it was a complete gut project.

Exterior updates: new roof, repainted and repaired the exterior wood siding and screened-in back porch, added sod in the front yard, updated the electric, added a new off-street parking spot in the back, and a new privacy fencing in the backyard.
Interior Updates: added a half bathroom downstairs, refinished the hardwood floors, expanded closets, new ductwork throughout, fully open floor plan on the first floor.
