Turn-of-the-century Colonial home gets new life
Built in the 1920s, this classic Colonial house comes with more than undeniable charm, it also comes with a unique story. We had the rare opportunity of meeting the family that used to call this place home! What an experience to be able to see how their childhood home evolved from when they resided in it in the 60s. We made sure to preserve every memory that adorned this historical home when we opened up and reconstructed the space. From refinished hardwood floors, original woodwork and window frames, doors with glass doorknobs and French doors opening to the side porch off of the living room, every original bone holding up this classic home was made new again.
3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and lots of garbage and demolished walls later, we found an airy, bright, modern living space that could be preserved and restored for a new generation of Cincinnatians.
